National Path Lab was founded to provide accurate and timely pathology services.
Established in 2012 AD in Butwal, National Path Lab (NPL) is a publicly owned standalone clinical laboratory — a state-of-the-art, ISO 15189:2012 certified, NABL accredited, category 'A' laboratory.
We rapidly expanded our operations across Nepal. To make the country independent in laboratory testing and minimize outsourcing, we established a central reference laboratory in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, operating since 2021 AD. We are the first in the country to provide state-of-the-art Molecular Pathology (PCR and NGS), Cytogenetics (FISH and Karyotyping), and Newborn Screening under one roof.
